How Does Red Light Therapy Work?

Jessica's Favorite At-Home Self-Care Items for Beauty and Wellness:

  1. Facial Oil: My favorite right now is Le Prunier's Plum Beauty Oil, which helps brighten, balance, and restore skin while locking in moisture for a soft, youthful glow. I use it primarily on my face and neck the morning and evening.
  2. Body Dry Brush: I use this to exfoliate away the dead skin cells to promote cell turnover for resurfacing and luminosity. Dry brushing has holistic health benefits, which include energizing, restoring the skin. I try to do this once a week before the shower.
  3. Lymphatic Massager Paddle: I use this to help drain toxins and reconstruct entrapped fat deposits through the lymphatic system, which aids in breaking down cellulite to keep my skin firm and tight. I do this once a week after the shower with body oil to help the paddle glide.
  4. Shakti Mat: I love my Shakti Mat and use it every night for at least 20 minutes to help me relax which in turn helps be fall asleep faster.
  5. Facial Gua Sha: I use this to lift, sculpt, tone, and de-puff the skin on my face. This stone is artisan crafted from the highest grade Bian Stone. I use this with my favorite facial oil when I'm feeling puffy or my skin can use a little pick-me-up.
  6. Clay Face Masks: I happen to really like this mask because I can see a noticeable improvement after I wash it off.  This clay mask packs all the pore shrinking power, along with a healthy dose of moisture and nourishment so it doesn't dry me out.
  7. Essential Oils: I love how a scent can instantly relax or invigorate me. I have used Doterra essential oils for 8+ years and love incorporating aromatherapy into my self-care routine. Lavender, lemon, peppermint, and eucalyptus are my personal favorite choices for relaxation and stress relief. I like to diffuse them, add a few drops to my shower, or a bath for ultimate self-care.
  8. Epsom Salts: When we aren't feeling well, I will draw a bath and add a handful of epsom salts with essential oils to soak away stress, tension and sickies.


These are just some of my favorite at-home self-care products that I have incorporated into my regular beauty and wellness routine over time. They are a few ways that I like to take care of myself to enhance my overall quality of life.


My most important tip, is just to carve out time for self-care, whether it's a simple walk in the sunshine, a quick skincare ritual,  a relaxing bath before bed or a phone call to a friend who makes you laugh. Self-care is not selfish, it the best investment you can make.
